
Nondiscrimination Policy
The ISCT Workforce Development Training Program is committed to ensuring that all registrants and participants are treated fairly and equitably, without discrimination. We aim to provide an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone involved. ISCT is committed to providing an environment that is free from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. No individual will be denied access to the Workforce Development Training Program based on:
• Race
• Color
• Religion or belief
• Sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions)
• National origin
• Age
• Disability
• Genetic information
• Sexual orientation
• Gender identity or expression
• Marital status
• Veteran status
Responsibilities include ensuring the policy is communicated, understood, and implemented by all involved, and taking appropriate action against any violations. Specific responsibilities are outlined below:
Management
• Communicate the nondiscrimination policy to all staff, participants, and stakeholders.
• Provide training and resources to ensure understanding and compliance.
• Monitor and review activities to ensure adherence.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to any reported violations.
Staff and Trainers
• Treat all participants and colleagues with respect and fairness.
• Implement program activities in line with the policy.
• Report any incidents of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation.
Participants
• Respect the rights and dignity of others.
• Report any incidents of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation to program staff or management.
Reporting and Resolution Procedures
Reporting
• Participants may report any incidents of discrimination related to ISCT Workforce Development in writing to the ISCT Workforce Development team via email at isct@ISCTglobal.org, phone at +1 (604) 874-4366, or by letter to the following address: ISCT Workforce Development Team, Suite 325 - 744 West Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC, Canada, V6C 1A5. All reports received orally or in writing will be investigated with an initial response provided within 7 business days. If a report is communicated orally, the reporter should be encouraged to submit a documented report, or the individual receiving the oral report should document it.
Investigation
• All reports will be investigated seriously, promptly, and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality as much as possible.
Resolution
• Appropriate corrective actions will be taken if a violation is found, which may include counseling, training, or disciplinary action.
Retaliation
• Retaliation against anyone who reports discrimination or participates in an investigation is strictly prohibited and will be subject to disciplinary action.
This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary by the Associate Director, Workforce Development, and the Senior Director, Global Operations.
